FG shortlists four INEC commissioners to succeed Jega

According to Punch Newspaper, Jega might be asked to hand over to one of the commissioners in INEC and also proceed on a three-month terminal leave.

One of the fast moving entertainment spots in Oyo state, Ibadan is set for the highly anticipated show tagged Oganla Fuji Musicians Family.

The show headed by Wasiu Alabi Pasuma will hold at Top One Garden Hotel in Podo area of the ancient city on Friday the 6th of March, 2015.

The show which is scheduled for 10pm, according to the show promoter, Mr. Babatunde Agboola, will feature artistes such as Wasiu Alabi Pasuma (Oganla Fuji); Small Doctor (Akeweje Oganla); Sulaimon Maito (Paso Poly); Hajia Modinatu Akanke (Iya Afin Oganla); Waidi Akano Lanrodo (Omo Moganna); Taiye Cellalar, Ibrahim (Tick Leather), among others.

Two female suicide bombers today perished when their bombs they had underneath their gowns after failing to get a vehicle to take them to Damaturu, Yobe state capital, eyewitnesses said.

Update on Bomb Scare at MMI airport Lagos

The reports have it that the bomb scare at the airport created massive pandemonium which left passengers and government officials topsy-turvy.

However, there is no cause for alarm as it was only a drill on bomb scare response time. The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), was assessing the capacity of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, to respond to a bomb attack situation.

It was a big show of shame last week as some Lagosians fight dirt to get their own portion of the Presidential Yams and Bags of Rice at Army Arena Shopping Complex in Bolade Oshodi.

Beneficiaries were told to forcefully raise the poster of President Jonathan and take photo before they could have a bag of rice or yam.

However some some APC members stormed the event with Buhari’s poster but they were sent back.

A police corporal has shot dead the Commander of Mobile police (Mopol) 10 Bauchi, Superintendent Chris L. Eza. It was learnt that the late police officer was a former Aide-de-camp (ADC) to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State.

A US-based man identified as Avijit Roy has been murdered in Dhaka the capital city of Bangladesh.

The American with Bangladeshi origin and his wife were today attacked by some suspected Islamic militants several months after receiving death threats due to the contents of his Free Mind blog.

The deceased Avijit Roy, the the founder of Mukto Mona, a Free-mind blog was stabbed 40 times on the head around 9:30pm in Dhaka this evening. His wife also received multiple stab wounds.

The attack happened while the couple were returning from a book fair.

“He was a secular humanist and has written about ten books and numerous articles,” his dad Ajoy Roy told Associated Press.

The face of masked Islamic State militant responsible for the public beheading of western hostages has been revealed by the Washington post.

They revealed that the evil man behind the gruesome videos was Kuwaiti-born London computer programmer Mohammed Emwazi.

Twin Bomb Blast Rocks Jos

Report coming in states that twin bomb blasts have hit the ancient city of Jos.

Witnesses say simultaneous bombs have exploded at a motor park and opposite a university in the city of Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria.

They say that the first blast was outside the university gate while the other blast was by the gates of Bauchi Park.

Daily trust are reporting that a suicide bomber was responsible for one of the attacks, the one at the motor park in Bauchi road.
